Irene Davis came out of surgery shortly before 4:00PM today. The surgery was a little more involved that they thought it was going to be. The surgery was a success and after a time of recuperating and healing she will be good as new.

Sherry Bush's sister's husband was killed in action in Afghanastan this week. Her sister's name is Holly Conrad. Her husband was deployed just a couple of months ago. Please pray for this entire family as they cope with this tragedy.

Dennis Fugate came out of surgery at about 4:00PM today ...... doctors say the think they got all of the cancer. He will need to take some radiation and chemo. Right now he is cancer free. Keep praying for Dennis, Doris, Brad and Jerry. Lema and I will go back in the morning to see Dennis.

The roads in town are clear. We will have Sunday School and Church at the regular time today. I have been downtown and the roads are clear. Be very careful on the Church parking lot ....... there are some slick spots. However if you live way out please check your hollow roads etc.... Use your own judgement and find out if your driveway or the roads where you live are slick. Don't take any chances. Be safe and God bless !!!

Brenda Caudill's daughter, Tonya Godsey, has shown some improvement this afternoon. Doctors have said sinse Monday that she would need a miracle to survive and just yesterday they there was only a one percent chance that she would live. However, after a third surgery last night to stop internal bleeding and to remove her spleen she is now showing some signs of improvement. DO NOT STOP PRAYING .... she still needs a ;ot of healing.

 

Liesha Napier is also at U.K. hospital ..... she has been diagnosed with a tpye of leukemia (AML) . Doctors say that it is very treatable. Pray that test that are being done today will result in a very good dagnosis.

Hey Folks,

Here is some good news ............... The Twin Rocks Bible Camp deal is done. The agreements and the deed was signed today at about 1:00PM.

After months of board meetings, negotiations, title searches, deed research as well as considerable prayer, discussions and soul searching the deal is done. The name of the camp will always remain Twin Rocks Bible Camp, however when you see that name printed on anything or referred to you will see (usually in smaller print) " A Ministry of New Hope Church, Inc." ... this is a legal requirement .... that we attach the name of our legal entity.

Now that the transaction is complete (at the appropiate time) I will share with you (hopefully Lema will help me share) how this is a part of the vision God gave us for New Hope Hope Church about thirty years ago. We just never thought that God would wait until we were 58 years old to bring this about. I guess He isn't through with us yet.

Please plan to go up to the camp right afer Church this Sunday for a cook-out and fellowship and of course celebration. Dress a little more casually Sunday Morning and bring a side dish if you can ..... the Church will furnish the hamburgers,hotdogs and drinks.

God has given us a powerful tool .... we must use it to further the Kingdom of God.

We have decided to cancel all services today. The temperture is not supposed to get over 29. There could be icy roads at any location at any time during the day. The Church parking lot is icy and at present most roads in the city are dangerous. Our members that live in the outlying areas would be in greater danger to try and drive in. This year we will be having a Messianic Passover Seder at New Hope Church on Wednesday Evening, March 31 at 7:00. If you have never been to a Seder you will want to register and attend. John and Mila Kidwell will lead us in the Jewish Passover Supper, called a Seder, just as Jesus would have experienced while here on earth. There will be a lite supper of soup, salad and dessert served. Please register if you plan to attend to ensure that we have adequate food prepared. You can register to attend the Seder at the church on Wednesday evening and Sunday morning. Make the experience of the Jewish Seder a part of your family Easter Celebration this year.
